Update: Well, I couldn't bring myself to post a pic of the dead flower.
I decided it was better to just look at the beautiful stages of its life. It may not bloom for very long, but for the time it's here it is simply breathtaking. I'm already looking forward to the next flower.

Yes, they are only pretty for one day..but what a gorgous display for that period.
