Just quoodling along

Quoodling. I just love the word. Not only is it descriptive, but it's a great Scrabble word. (quilting + doodling = quoodling)

The Timothy Leary test block has turned into the Timothy Leary Quilt in progress. I can't remember when I've had so much fun with a quilt project.

I think I'm channeling the 60s. The blocks remind me of embroidery on Levis, tye dye and hippies running around with interesting outfits.

I put the first two blocks together just to make sure I could get the blocks connecting. The join is smooth and flat. And somehow fun little quoodles are happily appearing on the back of my blocks.

Note: The pics are hard to see unless you click on them to see a larger view.

Here are blocks 1 and 2 joined:

Love this flower on block 3:

The top in its psychedelic, unmatched glory:

I was old enough to listen to the music and watch the "goings on" in the 60s, but too young to join in. (That's probably a very good thing.)

This project is nothing but pure fun.

I was in my 20's during the 60's...we will just leave it at that.

Very original in the quilting design...will look great upon completion.

Oh, one more thing, I want you as my partner if we play scrabble - based on the "new word" that has become part of your current vocabulary.

I adore that psychodelic fabric! It is so bright and swirly. Can't wait to see the finished project.
