Why yes, I do love samplers

Jeanie (no blog) asked if I like to make samplers. I do, but I made knitted samplers before.

This is a knitted lace sampler I made:

And this is another knitted sampler made of other non-lace sampler blocks:

And this is a knitted cable sampler afghan:

Each sampler block always feels like a little, individual project to me. It's fun to me to have the sense of finishing something on your way to finishing a big something. ;)

When I finished making the Sampler Quilt blocks, I'm going to make a Japanese quilt block sampler. I'm already starting to go through stash and gather fabrics together.

Darilyn,

You do such beautiful work!

You should be quite proud of your accomplishments.

Thank you so much Amelia.

I do like to see finished projects, but it's all about the journey for me.

Knitting and quilting are both about things made one stitch at a time. I find that so amazing.

Thanks for visiting.

Beautiful knitting! I've never thought in terms of a sampler knitted bedcover. It is a great idea to make individual blocks to be sewn together later.
